Kioni

Kioni is built at the far end of a small, wind protected bay 25 klm. away from Vathi. The numerous traditional houses contibuted in characterizing the village a scheduled settlement.

The village's churches, Evangelistria and Aghios Ioannis are famous for their remarkable religious paintings.

In Aghios Ioannis, in particular, where you can admire a superb old wooden carved icon screen, a big feast takes place on 24th June every year to honour the Saint's memory.
