LAKITHRA

Pots Lakithra’s chamber tombs date from the hundred- year period between 1250 and 1150 BC, and the finds from the Mycenean period that were discovered in them are many and varied. Urns with tiny openings, small urns with concentric half-circles around the middle, large pots (bowls) and smaller ones, all point to the Mycenean tradition.

The wealth of these tombs is unprecedented, even without taking into consideration another 400 pots that were found, of which 300 have been reassembled.
