MONASTERY OF THEOTOKOS, DOMATA

  In the church it is kept the casket of St. Holy Martyr and Oecumenical Patriarch Grecory V who was hanged by the Turks in 1821. The holy body was found and collected by the Cephalonian captain Nickola Sclavo in Bosporus. He carried it to Odisso for burial. The casket of the Patriarch was given to him as ablessing and he put it down with honours in the present church of the Virgin.
