our county’s strength lies in its intellect, in other words the capabilities of its
citizens in the fields of Science, Art, Letters and Literature. The spiritual, artistic and scientific Renaissance from the time of the Venetian domination leads straight to the Ionian Culture in which Kefalonia played, and continues to play, a vital role.
