Georgios Bonanos is one of the most renowned sculptors of recent years.
He was born in Vouni in 1863 and studied in Athens and in Rome. His work can be found both in Kefalonia and elsewhere in Greece.
Those in Kefalonia include the Toole Memorial in the British Cemetery in Argostoli, many items in the Greek cemetery of Drapano, such as the composition “Soul”, the Vallianos Memorial at St Vasilis, the Iakovatos Monument in Lixouri, the “ Head of Health “ at the house of the Gentilini – Kosmetatos family in Argostoli and many others.
Elsewhere in Greece his statue of Odysseus Androutsos is located at Hani in Gravia, the statue of Paris in the Andreas Sygrou collection and many more.


He was born in Argostoli in 1955. He lives and works both in Rome and Kefalonia.
Influenced by both Greek and Italian cultures, he tries to get closer to nature.He creates replicas of objects, such as columns, shields, official seals or stamps, reproductions of the Holy Altar and totem poles.
He has had many exhibitions of his own as well as taking part in joint exhibitions in other European countries.
